Synopsis

The main accesses to the city of Santiago de Cuba have landscape values affected by a growing environmental deterioration, lack of unification in the design and an aggravating disqualification of its image. The general objective of this research is based on carrying out landscape integration studies for the main accesses of the city, arriving at management and planning proposals. The methodological process used exhibits a synthesis of the environmental problem, definition of general territorial and specific guidelines for certain landscape units, evaluation of the landscape potential and definition of the intervention criteria. This work will be of great value for students and professors of Architecture, for the Department of Physical Planning and project companies both at the provincial, national and foreign level, as well as for decision-makers and the general public interested in achieving more beautiful and harmonious cities from their access roads. entrance.
