Qualitative research methods

“Qualitative Research Methods” is a work in constant evolution, destined to be enriched with new syntheses and levels of essentiality. Mejía reflected that it is “just one part of a longer road” while Sampieri valued that “its publication is extremely pertinent.” This book has been prepared with dedication, thinking especially of our students and colleagues who choose to follow the challenging path of qualitative research. The sections titled “PROCEDURES” have been designed with the intention of offering possible routes, but not unique, nor obligatory, aware that they are not free of challenges. We hope that these contributions are useful; we are convinced that each researcher, from his or her epistemic curiosity, scientific rigor and ethics, will be able to reflect and build or choose his or her own paths. By sharing this work, we transmit to each reader a part of our human essence, of our transcendent being, and of our way of thinking and doing science, as well as our feelings and hopes. Our tribute, recognition and admiration to all those researchers from Latin America and other parts of the world, for their exceptional legacy from diverse perspectives.
