Synopsis

This book deals with knowledge applied to human health where researchers from several Cuban health institutions, from famous centers of the University of Oriente and the Eastern Region of Cuba, such as the Center for Studies of Neurosciences and Image and Signal Processing (CENPIS) , the Center for Applied Electromagnetism (CNEA), the Center for Industrial Biotechnology (CEBI), the Center for Medical Biophysics (CBM), or the Center for Toxicology and Biomedicine, national reference scientific centers such as the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), etc., have pooled their contributions. In a fresh and updated way, the results of various health research are brought together in fields as diverse as psychology, rehabilitation, evidence-based medicine, pharmacology, botany, biotechnology, bioengineering, biotechnology or physical culture.
